RALPHIE

Sorry we haven't posted a blog in awhile. Things have been a little hectic, as I'm sure they are with everyone. Well, we put our house on the market a couple of weeks ago. Let the stress begin! We don't have another house yet. We're just waiting to see what happens with this one before making any moves. We had our first showing the other night, so that's a foot in the right direction.

The family is doing well, but not happy about the cold weather. Here's Will looking a bit like Ralphie, from a Christmas Story. He's not too fond of the cold weather or his ice blue suit!

He is changing daily. Now, he's sitting up all by himself. He also gets up on all fours but can't quite figure out how to crawl yet. He rolls to get to where he needs to be. His latest trick is peeckaboo. We throw a burp cloth over his head and act like we can't find him them he pulls it off. It's quite adorable!

Nice Package!

Today, we took Will to get his 6 month pictures and again, it was challenging. For one, he's not quite strong enough to hold up his weight and two, he doesn't like to sit still when we're trying to take his picture. Maybe he doesn't realize he's supposed to smile and be still for the camera. Plus, he drools a lot. Regardless, I think we still got a few good pictures in his new, stylish outfit. We found that placing him in a box worked the best. See for yourself. He didn't seem to mind, so we went with it.

We were in and out in about 30 minutes so I can't complain too much. Additionally, they had our pictures printed and ready to go in about 20 minutes.

Will's New Trick

Here's the latest picture of Will wearing Aunt Meg's mug on his chest. He must like it. He drooled on her head all day long! Plus it shows off his thighs. Check those bad boys out! Anyway, he's doing so well. He's continuing to sleep through the night and has started eating veggies. He sure can put the peas away. He's also moving around the floor so much more and he's learned a new trick. Grammy calls is "raspberries". I think thats what dolphins do! Anyway, he's basically making vulger noises with his mouth. He uses his tongue to make a funny sound and he thinks it's hilarious. He's started doing it while I was feeding him carrots and I ended up with a carrot shower. We're looking forward to spending the long weekend with him.

Ribbit...Ribbit...

Well, today is Will's first Halloween, so we figured it would be prudent to submit another posting. We're just sitting here counting down the minutes until all of the neighborhood riff-raff come out of the woodwork to collect their share of Halloween candy. I suspect that most of the kids don't even live around here, but what can you do.

This year, thanks to grandma and grandpa Toombs, Will has a hilarious bullfrog costume and it's the funniest thing I've seen in a while. Take a look for yourself.

Pretty funny, huh!!! I don't think he's going to scare anyone in that costume. Does Ralphie from A Christmas Story come to mind when you see this? He didn't seem to mind, so we captured a few photos. Anway, hope you enjoy.

Happy Halloween

Trip to the Vineyard

On Saturday, Andrew, Meg and I took Will down to the vineyard to see Mom and Mike. Will loved being outside and he especially liked seeing Aunt Meg climb the deer stand.

Rice Cereal? Yuck!!!

This past week, Will went for his 4 month check-up. As part of that check up, they determined his weight. He weighed in just shy of 16 pounds!!! The worst part of the check-up came when he received four shots. As you could have guessed, he wasn't very happy to get them and cried until about half way home from the doctor's visit.

In addition to the shots, the doctor advised us to start introducing rice cereal into his feedings. So tonight, we did (as you can see below) and also got to try out his new spoons. I think he spit out more than he swallowed, but he seemed to have enjoyed it.

Visit from Aunt Stacy and Uncle Jonathan

Jonathan and Stacy were in town from California this weekend for a wedding. It was a quick trip for them but they were able to squeeze in some time for Will. Will was very excited to see them and was sad to see them go.

Uncle Andrew came over as well and was available for a few photo "opps". Here we have Andrew, Stacey, Jonathan and Will. It's rare, but we were able to capture Will looking at the camera.
