Will's New Trick

Here's the latest picture of Will wearing Aunt Meg's mug on his chest. He must like it. He drooled on her head all day long! Plus it shows off his thighs. Check those bad boys out! Anyway, he's doing so well. He's continuing to sleep through the night and has started eating veggies. He sure can put the peas away. He's also moving around the floor so much more and he's learned a new trick. Grammy calls is "raspberries". I think thats what dolphins do! Anyway, he's basically making vulger noises with his mouth. He uses his tongue to make a funny sound and he thinks it's hilarious. He's started doing it while I was feeding him carrots and I ended up with a carrot shower. We're looking forward to spending the long weekend with him.

Ribbit...Ribbit...

Well, today is Will's first Halloween, so we figured it would be prudent to submit another posting. We're just sitting here counting down the minutes until all of the neighborhood riff-raff come out of the woodwork to collect their share of Halloween candy. I suspect that most of the kids don't even live around here, but what can you do.

This year, thanks to grandma and grandpa Toombs, Will has a hilarious bullfrog costume and it's the funniest thing I've seen in a while. Take a look for yourself.

Pretty funny, huh!!! I don't think he's going to scare anyone in that costume. Does Ralphie from A Christmas Story come to mind when you see this? He didn't seem to mind, so we captured a few photos. Anway, hope you enjoy.

Happy Halloween

Trip to the Vineyard

On Saturday, Andrew, Meg and I took Will down to the vineyard to see Mom and Mike. Will loved being outside and he especially liked seeing Aunt Meg climb the deer stand.

Rice Cereal? Yuck!!!

This past week, Will went for his 4 month check-up. As part of that check up, they determined his weight. He weighed in just shy of 16 pounds!!! The worst part of the check-up came when he received four shots. As you could have guessed, he wasn't very happy to get them and cried until about half way home from the doctor's visit.

In addition to the shots, the doctor advised us to start introducing rice cereal into his feedings. So tonight, we did (as you can see below) and also got to try out his new spoons. I think he spit out more than he swallowed, but he seemed to have enjoyed it.

Visit from Aunt Stacy and Uncle Jonathan

Jonathan and Stacy were in town from California this weekend for a wedding. It was a quick trip for them but they were able to squeeze in some time for Will. Will was very excited to see them and was sad to see them go.

Uncle Andrew came over as well and was available for a few photo "opps". Here we have Andrew, Stacey, Jonathan and Will. It's rare, but we were able to capture Will looking at the camera.

Game Day

On Sunday, we went over to Tina and Michael's to watch the Colt's game. Go Colts!!! Will had a great time playing with his buddy Max, who is 10 days younger than Will. They were both dressed in their Colts outfits (with matching drool) and couldn't take their eyes off the game. Overall, they were unimpressed with the Colts that day, but are optimistic about the season. Here's a picture of the two of them watching the game.

We were also able to get a family snapshot, but not without a struggle. Will doesn't like to stay steady in one place for long, so it's difficult getting a picture of him while looking at the camera. Anyway, this is as close as we could get.

Introduction

Well, this is our first posting. There are no major milestones to report, so we'll just start off with a picture. He's beginning to roll over on occasion, but not with much grace. It typically happens at night while we're asleep. We know this because of the loud thud from hitting the rails. At that point, he can't get rolled back over, so he makes a lot of noise until we come roll him back over. It's quite amusing. Anyway, here's a picture of the little guy at 4 months.
